So, on the front of Douglas, which has not yet been addressed in a very long time: we have learned much, and hope to send you a letter very soon Doug. I am not sure yet as to what the contents will say, but I am sure you will love them anyways. But I do know it will at least say, we miss you, and think about you all the time Scott...ur, Doug rather.

So there is a man, who drives a crappy car that is red and black, and he drives this car, and everytime I drive past him, he has a different woman in the passenger seat. He is maybe 50 and balding, but his similarty to Douglas is uncanny. I'd like to believe that Horton has returned to us, but I doubt he ever shall. May the memory of Dougie live on in all the souls he touched, and when I say touched, in some cases I mean it metaphorically, and in other cases, literally...Sierra...

Florist paint flowers on
Such that when you look
at your face
The beauty of nature is reflected
back on
Your human face with
ornaments of
Ivy on pale peach epidermis.

Behold the Juggler
as he balances with ease
allowing spherical wonders
to pass easily in and out
of his hands.
Atop his unicycle
the juggler is king of the world.

An end or
a beginning?
If we find out tonight
so be it.
Not by rain, nor snow
nor arrow fire
would we abandon
our posts tonight.
No, till dawn or death take us
we fight.

I am so tired I dont want to do my pre calc hw
I wish I never got homework
like in hortons class
that was awesome if I only I still had it
honestly good friends great guy
I have awesome soc teachers
stuck, sousa, horton
all great guys fly me like a kite or maybe I'll fly myself and let my tail wander behind darting here and there to be free of the world below is a wonderful thing. I wish for a second that I truly could be
here is a wonderful song:

This looks familiar, vaguely familiar,
Almost unreal, yet, it's too soon to feel yet.
Close to my soul, and yet so far away.
I'm going to go back there someday.

Sun rises, night falls, sometimes the sky calls.
Is that a song there, and do I belong there?
I've never been there, but I know the way.
I'm going to go back there someday.

Come and go with me, it's more fun to share,
We'll both be completely at home in midair.
We're flyin', not walkin', on featherless wings.
We can hold onto love like invisible strings.

There's not a word yet for old friends who've just met.
Part heaven, part space, or have I found my place?
You can just visit, but I plan to stay.
I'm going to go back there someday.
I'm going to go back there someday.

A Funny Story for Horton (extracted from February 15th, 2003)
A Funny Story for Horton (Horton was asking us about funny stories we had about our family. And when I got back from my trip to Minnesota, I actually did share this with him and he found it quite amusing and asked me if I had anymore)
Alright, well I am wicked bored right now, I have nothing to do but this right now, so here's a funny story. My great uncle Jim used to attend a Catholic school as a child. Back then Nuns were rough business right? So my uncle decided to escape, I'm not to sure how he did it, but he managed to get up onto the rough and was walking on it. Now, right as he was doing this, his aunt came in the front door and saw him scaling the wall, and went and told the Sister inside. Jim couldn't sit for a week I was told.
Another pointless Jackson story: One day my uncle Bob came home from school and told my Grandmother that some stupid first or second grader got his finger stuck in a paste jar and the princpal had to call the ambulance to get it off. And then my Grandmother said, "Robert, that stupid little first grader was your brother Tommy!"
Robert: "Oh jeeze! How embarassing!"
Tommy being my father, and Robert being his older brother.
If you don't find these stories entertaining, stop reading.
Here's one that happened to me just the other day.
I was down in my Grandfather's basement, and we were getting ready to go to my Grandma's funeral. And my grandfather comes in with a box of Ziploc baggies in his hand. And he says, "Here Shell (my Mom) these are for the caters to put the remains in." And I thought, holy smokes! Wouldn't we at least get an urn or something? A plastic bag!?! And then I realized it was for the leftovers from the luncheon. I won't bore you anymore (right now) Call me sometime, I have way more

Ahh Dougie...
Horton Story:
Last year, on one of the occassions Newton was absent, and one of the few occassions Horton was there, we were sitting in class, and Mr. Horton showed us an article he had taken out of the Union Leader. And in this article, was the a theory explaining the eventual take-over of cows. Horton told us that in this article, it was explained that cows were all saving methane gas inside, and were, all at once going to release a fart, that would give off so much methane we would all die. He then later proceeded to make a futile effort of showing us the trailer to Ghost Ship, which we never did end up seeing. This same day, he yelled at the class, and claimed that we all take advantage of his good nature. Personally, I just think he was trashed... Kind of a jumble of shit in there, but if you were there, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Keep The Horton Alive In You!
